Name
[PANEL] Final Rule: Competitive Bidding, Accreditation, Provider Enrollment and Change of Ownership
Description

Competitive Bidding (“CB”) was a disaster when it was rolled out years ago. And then it went dormant for several years. In June 2025, CMS brought CB back to life with a Proposed Rule that (i) makes negative changes to an already flawed CB program, (ii) imposes additional accreditation requirements, (iii) imposes stricter provide enrollment requirements, and (iv) revises change in majority ownership (“CIMO”) requirements. By the time this program is presented, CMS will have issued the Final Rule and will likely have begun the implementation process. This program will (i) provide information DME suppliers need to know about CB, accreditation, provider enrollment, and CIMO requirements, (ii) discuss the more challenging aspects of CB and the other initiatives, (iii) suggest steps suppliers should take to navigate these changes, and (iv) predict the future of the CB program.

Proposed Learning Objective (1)
Learn the most important requirements of Competitive Bidding (“CB”).
Proposed Learning Objective (2)

Proposed Learning Objective (3)

Proposed Learning Objective (4)
